Floating Bedroom : Property in the middle of the forest.

 Floating Bedroom

This is an unbuilt property situated on the edge of the forest linking to a water body. The living room and the dining room with kitchen are one block while the two bedrooms with attached bathrooms are another block. The bedroom block floats on the mainstream water body while the other block floats on the inland waterbody.

The living room is open on two sides while one side is open toward the inland water body, giving this space a nature-oriented experience while sitting and having a sip of coffee. This space is an amalgamation of the living room, kitchen, and dining.

A small horizontal strip acts as a bridge between this block and the bedroom block. While approaching the bedrooms, there is a small forest cover.

The bedrooms are identical and mirrored in the plan. A very spacious room with one side open to the water body. About a third of the bedroom is cantilevered and supported on columns, which gives the user a feel of having the bedroom floating on the water. The bathroom is a long room with one side open to the water body but covered with shaded glass.

Materials are chosen such that the line between the physical building and nature is unclear. The polished concrete surface is kept unpainted to give the rusty feel of a deep forest cottage. while matte-finished beige shaded tiles are laid on the floor. In some parts, timber planks are laid on the walls and floors.
